Strategic & Communications Planning 

Planning for the future is important for any organization looking to capitalize on future success, increase profitability, and continue to provide value in a competitive environment. Through our strategic business and communications planning process, we help businesses set goals and develop a plan to achieve them.  We do a deep dive to determine a company’s current state, define its desired future state, and develop recommendations on how to get from one to the other. We examine strength and weaknesses, and determine opportunities to capitalize on successes. We recommend business and communications strategies, and facilitate implementation.

Public Engagement 

For any government project, whether it is improving infrastructure, expanding services, addressing climate change or anything a government agency is responsible for, stakeholders are always going to have opinions and concerns that need to be addressed. Our team is experienced in developing public engagement plans and implementing strategies and tactics that inform, consult and collaborate with stakeholders to bring solutions that meet the goals and objectives for the project, as well as make incorporated ideas and solutions from impacted communities. Our approach helps to establish, maintain and enhance relationships with community leaders, concerned citizens and community ambassadors through thoughtful two-way dialogue to ensure points of view are expressed and common ground is established in order to influence the decision-making process on projects that have significant impact to quality of life.  

Media Training 

The ability to work with the media is an important part of the communication process. Our media training is designed to prepare organizational leaders to inform and educate their audiences through earned media opportunities. Our sessions are customized for individual needs and will help educate participants on the various media platforms and how they are different in relation to interview style and techniques, develop and refine key messages, evaluate potential media scenarios (real and/or perceived), and feel comfortable and prepared in various media situations. Participants will actively engage in recorded mock interviews, and together we review and evaluate performance based on our expertise.

Crisis/Issues Management 

A crisis situation can evolve quickly, especially in today’s media environment. With a 24-hour news cycle and social media, immediate engagement will help mitigate reactions and misinformation to help minimize negative impacts to brand and reputation.  Our team works with organizational leaders and communications professionals to develop customized crisis/issues management plans that outline how your business should respond if a crisis situation occurs. We help determine possible crisis and issues management scenarios that are most likely to affect your organization and what the potential impact may be. We then develop responses for each scenario, identify resources for implementation, craft stand by messages and template materials that may be used during response, and conduct training to prepare for what to do if a situation occurs.

We also work with organizations currently experiencing a crisis or issue that is negatively impacting brand or reputation. We will provide recommendations to help your organization proactively engage with stakeholder, as well as specialized media training service in the event of a crisis.
